This is pretty wild. They are increasing the cost of the menu and then offering entertainment. There are comments on either side.
I actually met one of the guys in this article and I guess they (him and his partner) are bold. The restaurant is like a performance. They want to present a top of the line service and they have a pretty cool location. They all wear uniforms with ties and vests. There is a small opening into the kitchen and so there is a dance they do to keep the flow working. You have to be on your toes all the time.
I do however agree with one person who says that there is no “small” option. You have to always get 12 courses.
I have no opinion either way but instead say–they made a choice and now have to live with it–good or bad.
